Normally, Boningale Nurseries only caters for trade customers, but once a year, we have a massive end-of-season sale, when we sell off a huge range of shrubs, perennials and trees to members of the public.
This year, we also have a number of larger items, including trees and large shrubs, to sell, and I will be on hand to advise you on the best place to site these specimens, and how to look after them.
In fact, there will be lots of my colleagues there to give tips and advice on many different aspects of looking after your gardens, so it’s well worth coming along.
And if you do, you’ll be helping more than just your garden, as we are donating half of the profits from the sale to the Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge.
The hospice provides specialist palliative care to people in Dudley, as well as residents from South Staffordshire, Wyre Forest, Hereford and Worcester and Sandwell, and is an excellent facility.
Prices are really reasonable, with many of our perennials and shrubs costing just £2.50, and trees and larger stock from £10, so there will be some fantastic bargains on offer.
Like us, Janet Jones, head of fundraising at Mary Stevens Hospice is also hoping for a big turnout, to help boost funds for this much-needed facility.
“I am sure the plant sale will be a great success and an ideal opportunity for garden lovers to grab a bargain,” she said.
So please join us, and help make the sale a great success. It’s on Saturday, September 10, from 8.30am until 4pm.
