I’m really looking forward to the Malvern Autumn Show this weekend (September 29/30) though we’ve now got a busy few days ahead of us – just for a change!
I’m going to be there with Olivia Kirk, showcasing our design work with an English courtyard garden.
The build began on Monday, so I had a hectic few days beforehand too making sure we have all the materials we’ll need, and putting the finishing touches to our design.
The show is a celebration of food, the countryside and gardening, and is wonderful for food and garden-lovers alike.
There will be gardening talks, cookery demonstrations, vegetable displays, vintage tractors and a range of crafts, plus a bake off, and the chance to see Chef Jean-Christophe Novelli cooking up some dishes and offering top tips and advice, so it should be a great turn-out.
It’s the last big RHS flower show of the year, and though Olivia and I both have experiences of exhibiting at these – Olivia being a gold-medal winner at Chelsea, whilst I’ve won gold at Shrewsbury twice – this time round we’re just going to be showcasing what we do, rather than competing.
We know the people visiting will be bowled over by some of the gardens on display, and hope it will expand their horizons in terms of what can be achieved in their outdoor spaces.
If you are going along to the show on either day, please come and track us down we will be on stand 357 – Olivia and I would be delighted to see you, and discuss any plans you have, be they to redesign a domestic garden, or concerned with landscaping on a much-bigger scale. We’ve got experience on projects of all sizes, and are able to provide design and build services.
